Summer is officially here and what better way to kick it off then with A Summer to Remember at Armature Works! Beat the heat with an abundance of options available across the property, where we have a little something for everyone all summer long.
Taste your way around the many options of local food trucks at our Food Truck Fest on Market Street held every Saturday from 5 – 11pm. Every week, there will be an assortment of different local food trucks for you to try while you enjoy the live music and seating along Market Street. The last Food Truck Fest on Market Street is August 26th, so don’t miss out on flavoring some local favorites.
Kick off Fourth of July weekend at our Tampa’s Backyard BBQ at Armature Works on Saturday, July 1st from 12 – 5pm. Butcher n’ Barbeque and Stones Throw will be offering BBQ and oysters on the pier along with live music for you to enjoy on the Riverwalk.
Hot dogs and fireworks go hand-in-hand with summer, and The Heights District Fourth of July Celebration at Armature Works has you covered! This year’s event is presented by Budweiser and benefits K9s for Warriors. It includes a large-scale riverfront concert, spectacular fireworks display, Friends of the Riverwalk Boat Parade, annual Hot Dog eating competition, Kids Zone, and family-friendly fun all day long. The celebration kicks off at 3pm and goes until 10pm. These festivities are open to the general public, but you can upgrade your experience with these ticket tiers.
Nothing beats listening to live music in the summer, so be sure to check out the Jariah Higgins Summer Residency every Friday night from 6 – 9pm, starting on July 7th. Jariah Higgins is a soulful singer and songwriter based locally here in Tampa. He has won Tampa’s AZ1 “Best Local Artist” award and has been featured countless times on 102.5 The Bone.
Spend the second Sunday of July and August from 10am – 3pm, strolling through our air-conditioned event space while you peruse our carefully curated local market of artisanal makers and merchants selling homemade goods, jewelry, apothecary, candles, apparel, and more at our Second Sunday Market + Art Walk.
For the month of July, our monthly waterfront car show is hosting a special variant, Rides by the River Evening Edition. During golden hour and underneath a sunset, some of the hottest and most exotic cars will be on display throughout the property. The event is in partnership with Ultimate Auto and is held on July 22nd from 6 – 9pm. It is open to the public, but you can upgrade your experience through the link.
If you love the water, then Urban Kai has something for you! Every Friday from 6 – 7pm, Urban Kai offers a discount on their SUP, kayak, and double kayak rentals for their Sunset Paddle Happy Hour.
Armature Works even offers boat dock access all summer long! The Heights District Public Boat Docks at Armature Works are located on the Hillsborough River in-between Armature Works and North Blvd. Bridge. The boat docks feature 20 slips in total, 10 of those being available to the public at an hourly rate with easy payment through ParkMobile. The other 10 slips are occupied by JetRide members. There is also the Pirate Water Taxi that offers a daily hop on, hop off service to Armature Works from 15+ stops along the Hillsborough River.
And remember, regardless of when you visit us during the summer months, you can always indulge in delicious cuisine and refreshing beverages, like one of our seasonal Sips of the Summer cocktails offered at any of our full-service restaurants or Heights Public Market food vendors.
